What kind of rims should I put on a red civicMzhypnotiq 12-03-2003, 04:17 AM I'm trying to figure out what kind of rims should I put on my red civic 01...its kind of like a candy red, with dark tinted windows, and carbon fiber tail lights, so I was thinking silver polished, or chrome might be a lil' too much and maybe going with a gunmetal or black rims might just let it blend in....I don't want too much...just enough to make it look right....Somebody please help me and let me know what color rims you would put on a red car with dark tinted windows...cause i'm lost...i'm a girl, don't really know too much about these things, also should i wait until i get my new tires, and rims before i try to lower my car???? thanks starr JakeDrummer 12-03-2003, 01:40 PM hey have you ever thought about maybe white rims? i think that they would look good with your setup. if thats not the look your going for go with black or gunmetal. stay away from chrome and shinny stuff unless you acctully wanna look like some little rice moble. Good luck, sounds like you got a good start. JakeDrummer 12-03-2003, 01:45 PM oh yah about lowering. it doesn't make one bit of difference what you do. if you live in a snow climate your gonna wanna keep your stock rims anyhow for winter. so it makes no difference if you run stock wheels or aftermarket rims. anyhow I personally would lower the car first, but thats just me. Its all up to you, its your ride. Mzhypnotiq 12-03-2003, 01:58 PM thanks alot, i didn't think about the white Ace$nyper 12-03-2003, 03:38 PM gun metal fo sheezy c00si 12-03-2003, 03:50 PM Yup Gunmetal, Look into Velox VX-8's or Rota C-8 & 10's IntegraBoy2003 12-03-2003, 08:28 PM White rims urrrrrrrrr sexxxxxayyyyyyy Mzhypnotiq 12-04-2003, 12:00 AM 2 on 2 JakeDrummer 12-04-2003, 12:54 AM white rims white rims Ricochet 12-04-2003, 01:26 AM White rims get too dirty, I would know. I have to clean brakedust off them every 3-4 days or the front one looks darker than the rear. You can't go wrong with gunmetal no matter what color the car is. Make sure you get 15" or 16" rims too. Just speaking from experience. I bought a set of 17" heavy white rims a few years ago and kinda regret it now. They do look great when clean though, can't argue that. lkailburn 12-04-2003, 07:04 PM Bronze!!
