let me tell you....i've never had so much trouble buying something than trying to buy a B16! I don't get return emails...don't get return phone calls....sigh....I found something cool out. It's called a B16A1C-L. It has a LSD stock! I'm trying to get with the place to get some info on availability, but no one was there when I called, and no one has returned my message or email yet...and another place says "I'll call you right back...." yeah ok! I just didn't think it would be so hard to spend my money :)

just making sure I get what I want for the best price and all....everyone seems to offer warranties and I've seen full swaps listed from 950.00 to 1400.00 for B16's....and from 3100.00 to 6500.00 for ITR motors! :)

I have one that i'm interested in, full swap with B16A1-L (LSD) for 1400.00. And that's retail, they do dealer pricing....

as for the engine you are ordering, there are no B16a"1"s.. In the JDM 1st gen B16 was simply a B16a...

As for the "L" part or whatever... dude someone is feeding you a lot of BS...

A Y1 and YS1 tranny are the only 2 that came with an OPTION to gegt an LSD in it... the engine code itself it no different, LSD or no LSD... you get a B16a with a J1/S1/Y1 or YS1 cable tranny...no B16A1C-L or whatever... the egnine code designation is B16a regardless of the transmission...

No one fed me anything...I got it right from here: http://www.jspecjdm.net/motor.htm first set of motor specs....there was no "1" in it...mistake on my part.

that looks like that's their 'part number' or whatever that describes the engine for them....like or zc's they had zc-d (dohc) and zc-s (sohc)...and the b16 you're looking at is 'b16ac-l' which is b16a w/ cable transmission w/ lsd....that's what I'm thinking ;)

Either way, if JSPEC doesn't have a b16a for ya, try soko, then nippon...

Jspec called me! Derrick is a very nice guys. and they do get the LSD trannys in! just depends on if they are in the motor or not..they don't even know til they open them up :) and his price is the lowest i've seen so far.
