what kind of jdm engine should i put into my 2001 civic ? i want the most h.p. and torque i can get. i'm new to the import scene, i've been driving a s10 for a while.

Some options are:
h22 2.2 liter 200 hp 7200 redline (not sure)

b16a2 1.6 liter 160 hp 8000 redline

b18 GSR 1.8 liter 170 hp

b18C5 1.8 liter US 185 hp Japan 210 hp 8500 rpm (Awesome engine)

there are also two other versions for the 1.6....170 hp and 185 hp 8500 redline (expensive)

K20 160hp 2.0 (this engine isnt good IMO)

K20A2 200 hp 2.0 8000 redline (awesome engine)

f20 (found in the s2000) 2.0 9000 redline 240 hp (rear wheel conversion...expensive)

If im wrong in something somebody please correct me...but im pretty sure that the hp and liter are correct.

Yeah all those will work... except the f20... It fits into a vertical engine bay while the Civic's engine bay is horizontal. The only way this could work is if you had some serious money and could get someone to fashion you a new unibody.

I would recommend the B18, if you have the money the best setup would be to put on a stroker kit to 2.2 liters and then new intenals with a turbo at around 13psi. This setup with a good driver has been proven to take you well into the 12's and sometimes 11's with a stripped engine bay. (a B18c5 with the stroker alone in a GSR ran a 12.25 quarter

theonly motor that will go into your 2001 civic is the same engine that came with it or a k series no b or f or h series will fit. and im 100% sure if you do get it in there it will be alot more than you will want to put in there. but yes the k20 and k20a2 will fit in there and it will be one heck of a caar check out hasport.com they have done that swap before and it turned out like this
