Coverted from Auto to 5 speeddion 11-20-2003, 08:48 PM From New Zealand Check this out. I have a 91 GT sedan. Had a reasonable run with it until the trans blew. I spoke to a workshop in Christchurch NZ who shall remain nameless at this stage and they quoted me $3,300 NZD for a full conversion parts included - which is basicaly what it came to by the way (New trans is 3k anyway so thats why I did it.) The car was amazing to drive when I got it back. However (Read below) IF you are thinking of doing this conversion depending upon if you have a shagged tranny (hold all jokes please) or just have 3 grand under your mattress PLEASE investigate the people you are going to get to do this job before you go ahead with it. My advice is to ask them if they have done one before and get that persons number and give them a call to ask how it's going. I have had to spend about another thousand to tidy up things that where not done the first time properly and developed into bigger problems because these guys had never done one before. However the car is sweet as now and I love it BUUUUUUTTTT I have just landed a job that comes with a company car and wait for it..........yes my Legacy is up for sale. I have a bunch of other parts as well which will be included in the sale (Which could probably sell for 1k but I just dont have the time to pedal them - hey common I sell stuff all week I dont wana spend my weekend selling shyte as well Ok!) Before you ask dont enquire unless you have $6500 to spend as this car only has 114k's and is tidy as hell NOT to mention I have not long parted with 4k on modifications for it!! Dont be kicking my tyres either cause I dont have time for that!! If you are interested e mail me / dion@hitech-food.co.nz Cher cher.............D.
