96 Blazer wont start unless I jiggle the wiresChrisD 11-20-2003, 12:56 PM My 96 Blazer wont start unless I jiggle the wires before hand that are connected to the battery. It is a small rectangle shaped plug that one end goes to the battery and the other end goes into the wiring on the side wall passenger side of the truck. When I have came to a stop before it has just cut off and when I turn the key all lights come on but as soon as I turn it over everything turns off and I get no power until I jiggle the wires? Also when I turn on my blinker when it is running the amp gauge goes up and down between 12 and 14 and the lights dim in the vehicle. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP...SINGLE FATHER ONLY WAY TO WORK AND HIM TO SCHOOL. airforceone 11-20-2003, 06:45 PM Does it have a good battery? Take it to an Autozone and have them test it. (Free!) Since you have to jiggle the wires, maybe you will need to get some new battery terminals. From what you descibed, I think this should fix your problem. When you go to Autozone, (a valuable source for information) describe you problem to them and they should be able to help you on the spot. Even if you have to replace the terminals, that job only takes a few minutes. ChrisD 11-20-2003, 07:49 PM I dont really understand it. airforceone 11-20-2003, 07:52 PM The terminal is the metal clamp or screw that connects the battery to the wires. ChrisD 11-20-2003, 07:53 PM Yes and those are good? airforceone 11-20-2003, 07:56 PM Then check where the wire connects to the terminal. ChrisD 11-20-2003, 09:10 PM ahhhhhhhhh negative battery terminal was loose. Hopefully this fixed the problem. Will not know until in the morning or after a few starts airforceone 11-20-2003, 09:29 PM  to a job well done :) ChrisD 11-20-2003, 10:16 PM Thanks Man!! I appreciate it alot!!
