1. My van is a 1998 Dodge Ram Van Custom HiTop. I just replaced the switch yesterday. It's probably the same procedure. Once you know how to do it, it takes about 10 minutes at most.
2. Use a phillips screwdriver and remove the screws on the plastic panel below the steering wheel and headlamp switch. You may have to first remove your fusebox cover on the side.
3. Remove the 4 screws holding the steel brace behind the panel.
4. Use a socket wrench and loosen (do not remove) the 2 bolts under and up the steel brace and lower the brace. Loosen the bolts about 1/2" to allow clearance.
5. On the right and left side of the switch, undo the clips and pull out the black connector with all the wires going into the white section.
6. Inside your cab, remove the fuse that causes the buzzer to go off.
6. Reach to the top of the headlamp switch and push down the button while pulling out the headlamp knob all the way.
7. Use a flat screwdriver, where the knob was, unscrew the piece.
8. The switch will drop, where you can remove the last two wires.
HOPE THIS HELPS!
