what's a good city?MustangLover2001 11-15-2003, 10:29 PM I'm looking for a city with a good organized street racing level. i was thinking LA or NYC, but i barely scratched the surface on possibilities. any suggestions? chales56 11-16-2003, 12:44 AM Im not sure, LA and NYC seem like there are many busts, where i live (Bloomington, IL) everyone justs calls each other when they want to race. youngvr4 11-16-2003, 01:57 AM seattle is pretty big on street racing, we have about 200 cars on friday and saturday night, but in the summer its more like 300 cars. theres cities on both sides of seattle, one is everett they have about 50 cars a night, and kent they have 200 a night depending on the season. every where you go you can spot a racer, its crazy up here, i usually get into a race every other day up here on the freeway. there's also lots of racing stores up here. not sure if you ever heard of garage spl they own 4 of the very few skylines that are in the us, there a big club and the biggest car clup up here is called exotic phantasies, they have more then 70 members and they have some dope ass cars too. mustang cobra's rx7's a fast ass eclipse, i mean these guys cars are fast as hell. not all of them though a lot of them are just all show, but um yeah anyway. LoW_KeY 11-16-2003, 06:41 AM with big city's come organized police raids, careful :) I live out in a cornfield and dont find many, but I'd rather it be that way then worrying and fighting cops. Yeah, I feel the same way! GTStang 11-16-2003, 10:18 AM Miami has an unbelievable street racing scene. Polygon 11-16-2003, 12:46 PM In any big city you're going to find a good sized street racing scene. Like LoW_KeY said with that comes the police and lots of them. That is why I don't mind it here in Utah. Most of the racing happens on Sunday. In Provo there is hardly anyone on the road. There is some going on, on Friday and Saturday but you run a much higher risk of getting caught. That is why I prefer to go in the sticks where nobody gives a damn if you race because there is nobody out there. Still I prefer canyon driving. I don't like racing people that way, just driving by myself or with some friends following, but never racing. I was seriously considering moving to Seattle and still am. My hometown after all. I haven't heard of any of those clubs or garages (mainly because I haven't been there for longer than a week in about 10 years). The only problem I see in street racing there is rain. Seattle is rainy about 75% of the year, and rain means slick roads. slick roads mean car wrecks, and car wrecks mean insurance guys riding your ass. 98MitsuTurbo 11-16-2003, 05:21 PM VANCOUVER CANADA:) Its the shit. YOu can go downtown and race across the bridges. There are so many ways you can go when you get to the other ned of the bridge so cops are never able to get ya:) Tim DMC12 11-16-2003, 09:28 PM Why don't we all post our meeting spots & times so that the police can be more effective at cracking down? KrNxRaCer00 11-17-2003, 09:09 AM Why don't we all post our meeting spots & times so that the police can be more effective at cracking down? cops already know the spots here. they meet in the same spots every time, so...it only took i'd say about 3 days to figure it out  i've got to disagree w/ u vr4 about exotic tho. they have very FEW fast cars. IMO most are simply riced out cars who're in the crew because most of them are pretty good friens (which is fine by me, jus don't like about 90% of their cars). garage spl on the other hand...its fucking awesome.... :sunglasse mustang372004 01-17-2004, 12:34 AM Dallas,Tx Chavez408 01-17-2004, 03:41 PM bakersfield calif? Max Boost 01-18-2004, 04:24 PM Dallas,Tx Where ats? I do the Dallas/Ft. Worth loop all the time, and the closest I see to Street Racing is a bunch of punks in stock V6 mustangs and cammaros speeding about 10-15 over. That and Honda Civics whose only modification is a muffler, not even a full exhaust. Houston is the shit though, they got everything your lookin for down there, car wise. Although I know at TCA you got those punkass bitches that are like, juniors in high school and have Ferraris. Layla's Keeper 01-18-2004, 05:16 PM Well, there's a healthy scene in the greater Cleveland area. It's not organized or anything, but it's pretty easy to find people with hotted up cars late at night, summer, Thursday through Saturday. At least in my experience. Keitaro 01-18-2004, 05:56 PM I'm not sure about my town, Knox TN, since I don't do street racing (shitty jeep). Most of the time it's random buzzes on the road. The good thing about his town is that there's lots of backroads and hills to practice on if you can. PunkAlex 01-18-2004, 09:39 PM As if anyone cares about north carolina, but anyway-High Point/greensboro is fairly big....and goldsboro is rampant with racers (ricers) -Josh- 01-21-2004, 06:57 PM Im not sure, LA and NYC seem like there are many busts, where i live (Bloomington, IL) everyone justs calls each other when they want to race. You ever street race up in Paxton, IL? I haven't but from what i hear that's the place to go to make or lose money.... :evillol: Self 01-21-2004, 09:29 PM I'm surprised no one has mentioned Philly. It has one of the biggest if not THE biggest organized street racing scene in the United States. 89Turbo944 01-21-2004, 09:38 PM In West Vancouver, the cops there are all on coke so they dont give a shit. Also any where in Van City, Richmond, Port Kells. ITs a dream out here. Except when it rains. The roads are crap and you see alot of recks. Chavez408 01-21-2004, 10:01 PM what bout a track? street racin is too dangerous u might get urself kill or others kill or get your car wreck or even take away :banghead: yea its fun and the "rush" is just great, but DANGER i say, lets just go to a track and settle there :2cents: Remeber its not how you stand by your car its how your drive it  oo boyyy gotta love that movie... 89Turbo944 01-21-2004, 10:06 PM The track is good but Mission Raceway is the only thing within a good driving distance, but the track sucks alot. In need of serious repair. Self 01-21-2004, 11:11 PM The track is good but Mission Raceway is the only thing within a good driving distance, but the track sucks alot. In need of serious repair. Maybe so. But probably no worse than your average everyday road. What with its potholes, rivets, divets, cracks, creases, preforations. Not to mention the mucky buildup of leftover vehicle fluid, dirt, and water. chales56 01-21-2004, 11:30 PM You ever street race up in Paxton, IL? I haven't but from what i hear that's the place to go to make or lose money.... :evillol: no, never been there. But the good thing bout bloomington is that u never see a bunch of ricers all around there cars on the weekends, and only once have i been to one of those. but when i went it wasnt ricers but all mostly 25-35 year old men, with really nice cars. 89Turbo944 01-21-2004, 11:34 PM Well the track is worse than the road. On turn one the road changes, it has a sharp bump and switches to ashfault from what was concreat. All down the straightaway is all gouged from the drag cars crashing. On the back stretch there is big hunks of concreat missing and none of the cracks are patched. Van City streets are pretty bad, but at least the cracks are filled, very few potholes, and the surface is all the same. But i try to take it to the track most of the time. mex 01-23-2004, 07:09 PM please refer to guide if you are a mustang owner who thinks his mustang beat an ls1. i like that, that was funny shit:evillol: mustang372004 01-28-2004, 12:12 AM Best city Tyler,Texas youngvr4 01-28-2004, 12:31 AM cops already know the spots here. they meet in the same spots every time, so...it only took i'd say about 3 days to figure it out  i've got to disagree w/ u vr4 about exotic tho. they have very FEW fast cars.
