Door rubs on fenderT!mmy 11-11-2003, 10:55 PM ight found another problem on my new civic...for osme reason whenever you open the driver door the lower hinge side of the door rubs on the fender and makes some kind of annoying squeek PLUS it makes the car look bad when you have lil problems like that...how can I fix this?? and what would cause it? I've looked and two mechanics have looked and all said it has never been wrecked... Dumped91Hatch 11-11-2003, 11:02 PM Well you have to either adjust the door or the fender. The easiest would be the fender IMO. There should be 3 on the top in the engine bay and 2 or 3 in the crack between the door and the fender. You acess these with the door open. You may also have to loosen the ones behind the corner lense also. Only loosen them enough to where you can move the fender. Start with the ones in the crack between the door and work your way to the engine bay. As soon as you can put it where you want it tighten them back so it won't move. You will probably have to tighten a couple of them several times to get the right gap. If that doesn't work try moving the door some. T!mmy 11-11-2003, 11:40 PM thanks but the way I just fixed it is opened the door...grab fender and pulled on it just a hair so that the door wouldn't rub...problem solved...such a simple fix but someone drove with that EVERYDAY...fuckin lazy bastard vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
