Hi, i posted this on this forum becasue i looked in the AF gallery and found that eslipseaudi has edited the banner i made without my premission.

What im saying is that you cant edit my works without premission.

Your a mod, and that doesnt give u any proof of saying its not nice, u should say its not nice in your opinion.

I know its not the nicest i can do, but i did it like 6 month ago, and i was less better than i am now.

Next time anyone wants to edit my work, they will have to get premision from me first.

Listen man, I did not edit your work. I didn't even know it was yours. I got it from the drawing of the month compatiotion. I came in first and SLIPKNOT gave it to me to put in my signature. Thats all it was so don't blame it on me, I never steal peoples work, edit it and take credit for it, thats freakin' stupid. So don't blame me for shit I didn't do.

See, that's what I thought. When Ran mentioned that he copyrighted all his work -- I thought that there must be a cheaper way... so I asked. Ran, I dont believe that you copyrighted that stuff, I'm sorry. If you really did, you wouldn't be b...ing here, but instead were in the process of a law suit.

Regarding him modifying your stuff, I agree it would be only polite to ask first but has he pointed it out, he didn't know it was yours as somebody else give it to him... and it's not like he's making profit from it.

A word of advice;

No lawyer or law representative would even look at that without laughing and pointing fingers. You'd have to pay them 800 bucks an hour. I would really love to see what would happen though, if you tried to 'sue' someone for 'stealing' your 'work'. Sorry dude. But you need to chillax a bit.

Yes, and even if it's copyrighted, there is still some extends were you can modified it, look at how many times the coca cola logo has been used.

Yea, well i think coca cola is rich enough, so thats why they probebly dont sue the editors.

I don't think you can sue, unless the other party made money off your work without your permission, and (not or, I think) has made your company loose money in revenue.

I can and do say nice things, but when I see people whining over petty things like you are here, I got to put my 2 cents in. And no, I cannot say whatever I want, just because I'm a moderator doesnt mean anything. I still have to follow the EXACT SAME RULES as you do, or else I myself will lose the title, and I will be banned/deleted. Hey what's up? Haven't posted in a long time. Ran, you are correct in saying that nobody has the right to copy your work without your permission, but you've gone about this all the wrong way. If there was a problem, then you should first go to the person who edited your work and send them a p.m. Then if it continues, you should go to Igor next and let him take care of the problem.

Second, a copyright, patent, or anything of the sort is only good if you are able to back it up in court. If not, then the copyright is no good. Also, all he did was edit your work. He did not take your work, exactly as it is and say it was his. Therefore, he did not not break any laws, nor did he plagurize your work. Great works, like the Mona Lisa, Statue of Liberty, Stary Night, and many other works have been "edited" many times without laws being broken and without permission from anyone. This has all been blown out of proportion over a small banner made specifically for this website. No offense to you or anyone else here. :smile: Have a great day!
