sport shifter in a civic auto?notenoughmoney 11-09-2003, 07:42 PM I have any automatic Civic and I do not want to make a full comversion to manual I was wondering if they make anything to put into a civic that is like the Sport Shifters in the Audis and Eclipses? I have tried searching but I did not know what to search for. Dumped91Hatch 11-09-2003, 08:27 PM I'm not sure but B&M might make some sort of shift kit like they do for the TH350. SilverY2KCivic 11-10-2003, 03:03 AM A sequential auto tranny, huh? Something like this (http://www.levelten.com/store/import/items/electronics/import_shiftronic.htm) perhaps? :eek7: ra227 11-10-2003, 09:08 PM Hmmm...thats interesting. I wonder how that works w/ reliability issues w/ the car and if that company makes reliable parts... still interesting. SilverY2KCivic 11-11-2003, 02:37 AM Hmmm...thats interesting. Ask around, Level10 is one of the leading manufactures of T/C's for auto Civics that people buy. They are right up there with TCI from what I hear. Reliable? Indeed! Reliable with this sequential "manual/automatic," that I couldn't tell you. I'd just stick with a beefier 2800RPM stall speed T/C upgrade and call it a day, If you really want manual style shifting sans a Tiptronic like shifter, then you might as well do an auto to manual swap and call it a day, that's my :2cents: ra227 11-12-2003, 10:09 PM Nope not kidding... I've never heard of Level 10 but I wasn't trying to knock them or anything, although the name sounds familiar, I just didn't know. Thanks for the clarification though. Thanks for the clarification though. No prob. Most actually don't know of these companies unless they've explored or asked around about upgrades to auto trannys, so it's all good. :) I'd check out their website for info on their products. Also www.artcarr.com makes some very nice Honda upgrade T/C units I hear as well. eckoman_pdx 11-13-2003, 11:40 PM If you are looking to beef up an AT, level ten is very reputable and is the place to go. Now as to whetehr the shiftertronic is realiable, I have no clue. It's a level 10 product though, so I would assume it is at least decent. ra227 11-14-2003, 01:42 AM No prob. Hey thanks again- I'll take a look when I get a chance crxlvr 11-14-2003, 10:31 AM ive heard veru good things about the TCI unit, apparently a .4-.5 reduction in 1/4mile time is acheived just by using it, but for $799 it better be well worth it. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
