Hey, I just bought a '99 LE V6 which I am about to perform a front pad change, could anyone tell me if the caliper utilizes a floating or fixed system? I know someone will say check the manual, but it was lost by the previous owner. Thanks in advance.

The brake system in all fourth-generation Camrys is a fixed system, I'm sure. The pad change shouldn't be all that difficult...all you need to do is compress the piston in it's bore, remove the two caliper mounting bolts, then remove the caliper from the frame, the pads are right in the frame, all you do is pull them out, and pop the new ones in...the brakes in a Camry are the most simple that I've ever replaced.
