Engine swap for an AccordProjectAccord 11-05-2003, 06:16 PM I am looking to swap the f22 out of my 95 accord for something that will put out more horsepower after being built, What are my options for the swap, I have been told to go with a JDM h22a but wanted to see if i had any other options. I could use any tips you could give me on this swap. Dumped91Hatch 11-05-2003, 06:44 PM The JDM H22a would probobly be your best bet. ProjectAccord 11-05-2003, 06:55 PM Thanks dude would you or any of your friends be able to give me some advice on how to get some major power from it ? 1600cc 11-06-2003, 11:06 AM Hook up a blower up to the motor. ProjectAccord 11-06-2003, 11:48 AM Alright i will keep that in mind, Can you tell me any other mods i can do to the H22 to give it more power? If not where could I go to find out ? cmdboy 11-12-2003, 11:22 PM does anyone here live in the east coast know any place that do engine. i have a 94 accord no-vtech 5sp looking to put a usdm h22a or h22? should i buy a h22a usdm or h22a jdm.. Hybrid1990crx 11-13-2003, 12:17 AM Hook up a blower up to the motor. :bigthumb: i have a 94 accord no-vtech 5sp looking to put a usdm h22a or h22? Yeah, I don't have a phone in my car either.... h22a and h22 are the same thing. Dumped91Hatch 11-13-2003, 12:03 PM Just search the web. Try looking into Turbo kits and stuff. Best way to get more IMO. th_james2003 11-13-2003, 12:58 PM dude if you can find one get a f20b and swap it. it is better than a h22. 93accordEX 11-13-2003, 05:04 PM in what way? Usually if 2 engines have the same hp rating, and 1 has more displacement and more torque I would consider the larger one better... Dumped91Hatch 11-13-2003, 08:04 PM in what way? Usually if 2 engines have the same hp rating, and 1 has more displacement and more torque I would consider the larger one better... :iagree: SiGNAL748 11-13-2003, 08:09 PM F20B is a destroked H22A - The F20B has a higher compression ratio (11:1) to make up for the lost displacement. Though the F20B and the H22A are rated at the same hp, the F20B has less torque (obviously due to lower displacement) H22A parts bolt right on to the F20B The main advantage of the F20B over the H22A is that it is lighter. If you do go H22A, I suggest the JDM H22A Type-S @ 220HP 93accordEX 11-13-2003, 09:18 PM how much lighter? 20lbs? Im sure the torque easily makes up for it. plus it costs usually close to double. and the type s same thing 20 more hp for double the $, rather build the engine myself. cmdboy 11-14-2003, 09:54 AM Posted by Hybrid1990crx - 11-13-2003 at 12:17 AM Quote: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Originally Posted by 1600cc Hook up a blower up to the motor. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Originally Posted by cmdboy i have a 94 accord no-vtech 5sp looking to put a usdm h22a or h22? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Yeah, I don't have a phone in my car either.... h22a and h22 are the same thing. =================================== Hey smart ass, Did you read my post clearly.. I was thinking about JDM H22a or a USDM H22. There a differences.... USDM has more parts in USA...JDM parts are from japan, which is harder to get.. Next time if you want to be a dumb ass, read well 93accordEX 11-14-2003, 04:34 PM or he could be right and you could make yourself look more like a dumbass  jdm = h22a usdm = h22a1 or h22a4 depending on year. there is no engine with the code h22 people just say that instead of adding on the letters/numbers. The reason i was suggestion the type-s was because it comes with the LSD tranny. Rather than paying over a grand for a Cusco LSD. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
