Buick Skylark motor swapandyk 11-04-2003, 12:27 PM I have a 1988 buick skylark limited coupe with a 3.0 h.o. motor and was wanting to get some opinions on swapping a grand national or turbo regal motor into this car. Ex: Is it possible ?, Estimated cost ?, Could i keep it front-wheel drive ?, And any other comments positive/negative and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again, -Andrew caddymac 11-09-2003, 02:33 PM The GN motor won't work for FWD applications. Have you thought of an L67 (engine used in the Regal GS) swap? Ask around on www.l67swap.com . tman 11-09-2003, 06:30 PM The SC 3.8 will be more than enough power for your skylark. Buick actually did put the L67(Series I, I believe) in the skylark GS a few years ago Hypsi87 11-09-2003, 07:51 PM i thiink buick made a turbo skylark around that year. Ill get some more info on it for you. it can be done!!!! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
