newer?OLew3 11-02-2003, 11:04 PM Is it worth it to buy a newer 240sx like the mid 90's or later instead of going cheaper for the s13? CanadianGTR 11-02-2003, 11:09 PM it all depends on what you want... each have their ups and downs OLew3 11-02-2003, 11:16 PM since i can get a stock s13 for prolly 1500-2000 id prolly be puttin in the sr20det in it. CanadianGTR 11-02-2003, 11:17 PM well then do that IMO the 240 has a better profile Suislide 11-02-2003, 11:26 PM well then do that IMO the 240 has a better profile you mean the S13? i personally like the S13 better myself. but if i had an S14 offered to me at the right price, i obviousley wouldn't turn it down. i've heard 2 or 3 stories of people getting them for less then $2k US...if only i could find a deal like that somewhere somehow, i'd get one, but unless that happens, it's S13 for me. CanadianGTR 11-02-2003, 11:42 PM yea thats what i meant my bad :banghead: mynismo 11-03-2003, 01:29 AM no matter how much money i'd have, i'd get an s13. classy and elegant... and always in style. btw, i seen that s13 with s15 conversion out of superstreet (signal silvia), the orange one with the blue headlight covers.... i seen it on speedchannel today in the middle of import drag cars. it was drifting all around and stuff. :bigthumb: i love that look. klohiq 11-03-2003, 02:06 PM the s13...both early and late model look really great and look performance oriented and while they do have nice styling there doesn't seem to be nearly as much focus on styling as the early and late model s14. The s14 zenki looks a little less like a vette killer, but just because it doesn't look like it has potential doesn't mean it's lacking in that department. I like how it looks very sedan and nonchalant, but still quite sporty. Kouki looks a bit more aggressive from most front angles, but it seems like it's lost a little that the Zenki had. They are all great and I love all 4 of the variants. You definitely can't go wrong with any 240... as long as it isn't riced out. grncivicdhr 11-03-2003, 02:13 PM i'd also have to say s13, but i'm a fan of the coupe (one-via look) and not to do a silvia front end. aside from that if i where to look into an s14 i only like the looks of the kouki (97-98) and even then i can't stand the s14 taillights. TheLogikal1 11-03-2003, 02:47 PM i hafta disagree, i think s14 taillights are the hottest looking tails next to some clean r33's. s13 coupe tails (i love coupes, dont get me wrong) kinda remind me of prelude lights. my choice on this thread? s14. ive had 3 of them so far, and the ride is so much more enjoyable than the 13 fastback (havent gotten to drive a 5 speed coupe yet) but what keiichi said is true, a stock s14 has nicer, quicker, and stiffer response than an s13 with rollcage and swaybars. i dont understand why some 13 owners diss the 14 like its not a "s-chassis" anymore. i keep hearing "its not as sports oriented" why i ask? Then just work on it over winter and unleash it in summer. Thanks for the info. publicenemy137 11-03-2003, 07:29 PM s14, i think the s13 flip-down lights look are outdated. S14's are nicer if you do the right stuff to it. Stock they look alright, not very sporty. But if you lower it, get a spoiler, some nice rims, and a new body kit you are looking at one hell of a nice car right there. EXAMPLE: http://www.nissanperformancemag.com/september02/blueflame/images/chris2406.jpg I don't think an S13 can ever look that nice TheLogikal1 11-03-2003, 11:51 PM I don't think an S13 can ever look that nice im with public enemy, the 13 can look nice, but it'll still look old and outdated. silzilla 11-04-2003, 01:01 AM I would definately have to go with the s14. I like the s13 as well, and the s14 looks pretty tame stock, but as you can see from the picture above of the s14 with a few mods the car looks really muscular, and ready to kick some vette ass. I think its the overall size of the s14 that gives it more of a super car look as opposed to the s13s pocket rocket look.
