new here, and have a quick question.

wife just bought a 2000 durango sport with the 5.2, auto tranny.

Anyone know the towing capacity on that thing? I have searched all over and kind find it anywhere. Thanks a lot, I appreciate it.

from what i can see, the towing cap is somewhere less than 7200 pounds (5.9 L V8) and higher than 4800 pounds (4.7 L V8)

I just found it, the 5.2 L V8 has a towing cap of 5650 pounds. It has 230 hp and 300 foot pounds of torque. To tell you the truth, you are sitting in a power house. I had a 2000 durango with a 4.7 and boy did it have some punch. I towed a large boat without even noticing it was their except the rear view mirror!
