My parking brake release handle has been broken since the day I bought it, so I just had to learn how to release it manually. Then the light started to come on at random. Driving down the freeway, at a stop light, wherever. Then one day the light was on when I started the car and it really was this time, I could not even back up. I pessed the gas and nothing happened, I floored it amd I rolled the slightest bit. I know the car is going into gear, because I feel it shifting. The only thing I can come up with is the parking brake. Do you know where it is so can dismantle it or at least release it? I'm not talking about the little lever behind the pedal. I want to know where the actaul thing is. So if you could pelaese help me. Thanx :)

okay your buick has drum brakes in the rear. beings the e brake only locks the rears you have to go there. now there will be a little cable when you take of the drum that is near the adjuster. it has a l shaped piece of metal attached to it. basicly look for the piece of metal that has the wire attached. i would recomend cutting it i say you try to figure out why its sticking on....or did you just have your brakes done cause they could have been over adjusted.
