hey im highly considering buildin up a 240 89-94 with a S15 converted front end possibly w/o engine n tranny jst body. I really want to have some power 300whp+ and i know theres a buncha of engine swaps so what do u suggest. Who makes turbo reputable turbo kits. I really want to be able to go at high top speed, is it possible to get longer gears so my top speed is higher? Ive seen 6spds from silvias but those are hard to find. Would the G35 or 350z 6spd fit??? n e one tryd? thanks any info or opinions would be cool.

What are you refering to Dsm? Anyways Yeah faq would be good to ready has some good suggestions, also you can look at Night7Racing.com he has somethings about skyline swaps.

Turbo2nr has an eclipse gsx. a dsm is mitsu cars like the gsx and the talon tsi and such. he's right tho, you can make a good amount of power for cheap with an eclipse gsx since you don't really need and engine swap or to buy a turbo kit for your n/a motor. but its all relative, maintainence on a dsm is just as costly as a 240. especially an older one (92 or 93).

if you're going for no more than 300hp, the ka or sr will be more than enough for your needs. past there you need upgraded internals that should be good up to almost 400hp.

past that you should have really went for an rb series motor.

correction i do not have a car.. but soon i will and the all hell will brake loose..

a DSM is any car who had an engine in it that came from DIAMOND STAR MOTORS. it was a company that built the engines for the Early eclipses and talons. im not sure if the plymouth laser had it either, cause they were the same body style, so it could be possible that the companies all went on a joint venture in hope of lowering production costs of the engine. but yeah... some of those engines are badass.

The mistsubishi 4G63turbo is indeed a bad ass engine, the tranny is the weak link on those cars but you can build them up.

6 bolt trannys from 1g dsm are strong but even the 7 bolt can be strong.
but yea the 4g63 is bad ass!

DSM just refers to the Eclipse/Talon line-up. These cars are basically exact copies of each other sold in different dealers. They had the Mitsubishi 4g63, it is a Mitsubishi motor, not some off beat companies. Mitsubishi put a lot of parts into various other Chrylser Corp. vehicles as well.
