If you decide to look into it, Alabama Cylinder Head is worth a peek. $285 for a new head, no core, valves and springs. 93gagt_red 11-25-2003, 03:35 PM you need to kill it and buy a newer ga 93gagt_red 11-25-2003, 03:37 PM sorry dont' ever buy a 4 cylinder motor unless it is brand new then get rid of it just before the warrinty is up C_Sephiroth 01-06-2004, 10:22 PM Harsh remarks about the 4 cyl. Engines. Many of then are very reliable, I had a cavalier with a 2.2L 4Cyl with over 250,000 miles. If it was mine I would replace the headgasket, while I was at it replace the Water pump also. boristheblade 01-13-2004, 08:30 AM If you like to do your own work, i would say go for it.
