Anyone fixed wind noise on mk3 supra??coyboyuk 10-21-2003, 04:36 AM 'lo all Just taken on a lovely new project in the form of a '91 supra.. At 60mph+ though, wind noise from the wing mirrors is terrible!! Is there a standard fix for this anyone knows of? Here's hoping... Danny projectsupramk3 10-21-2003, 02:30 PM Huh? I can't say i've ever heard it, i can drive with the targa off at 60 and still hear birds chirping. Arre you talking about with the windows up, or down, or is something loose? I can't say i've ever heard of anybody complain about this, but bomex does make "aero mirrors", there about 1/3 the size as stockers and they give you a huge blind spot too, look nice though :p tectyl 10-22-2003, 04:13 PM 'lo all Just taken on a lovely new project in the form of a '91 supra.. Danny just press the small rubber in which the glass runs (near the mirror) together so the rubber comes closer to the outside of the glass. @ the service bulletin , toyota knows about the probs and changed the stay including the rubber for the mirror .... (bad english ???? sorry, i´m german ....) coyboyuk 10-27-2003, 06:56 AM Wow, thank you for that! I will have a look asap. I've just spent 2 hours this Saturday repairing the rear window wiper... works a treat now, although a terribly messy job! supraslug007 05-06-2004, 08:26 PM you can tighten the mirror closer to the body by prying loose the triangular cover on the inside and tightening the three screws inside... if it's a matter of a small gap, silicon might fix it projectsupramk3 05-06-2004, 10:24 PM Those screws should be tight already, if there not then you were about to lose a mirror. Also, you do see the date on all of these threads your digging up right?? Most of them haven't been touched in over seven months and there's no reason to. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
