65 GTO Build Date on Data Platerburke 10-20-2003, 11:53 PM I have a 1965 GTO Convertible and I am trying to understand the build date code on the data plate on the firewall. The code on the data plate is 03F, which should mean March (03) and the F should be the week. However, the GTO id numbers book I have says that A=1st week, B=2nd week, C=3rd week, D=4th week, and E=5th week. Mine shows 03F. Has anyone seen this before and what does it mean? Thanks SuPeRcAr_MaN 10-21-2003, 06:35 PM rburke 10-21-2003, 11:56 PM Thanks SuPeRcAr_MaN. The site has a lot of info. I just can not figure out why my dataplate shows 03F as the build date and what the "F" represents. SuPeRcAr_MaN 10-22-2003, 07:40 PM Glad I could help... 03F = 6th week of March????? Are you sure it's an F? rburke 11-02-2003, 06:31 PM Yes, I have double checked the 03F. I thought it may have been a "dirty" B, but it is an "F". I will try and get a good picture of the plate and post it. rburke 11-18-2003, 04:18 PM Here is a link my gallery that shows a picture of the data plate... http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/showgallery.php?ppuser=102536 SuPeRcAr_MaN 11-18-2003, 04:39 PM Definitely looks like an F... Don't know what it means, but I will try to find out. Let me know if you do... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
