Cd Security Code..roadrage00 12-07-2001, 11:16 PM Hey, I sold my stock cd player out of my 00 civic a while back to get an aftermarket one. I wanted the stock one back and got one from a friend of mine with an si. The only problem is, he lost the code. I was told the code was on the sticker on the bottom of the cd player, but I dont see it. Just a reference number and the serial number. How can I obtain the code, or is there a universal one that works, or a way around it. Anyone know? I even tried my old one but it didnt work. Thanks! roadrage00@purehonda.com Swonder67 12-07-2001, 11:19 PM Sometimes, there is a sticker in the glove box with it. If not, i think you can call up Honda, give em the serial number, and they can give you the code. b16a2si 12-07-2001, 11:21 PM i think the code should be inside the glove box or manual. i'm not sure though... Swonder67 12-07-2001, 11:25 PM Well, it wouldn't be in the manual, it would be on a little card. But I do think there's a sticker in the glove box. b16a2si 12-08-2001, 01:37 PM Originally posted by Swonder67 Well, it wouldn't be in the manual, it would be on a little card. I found the code on a sticker in the glove box. It worked out for me that it was in there, but anyone who knows about honda's could easily steal a cd player and get the code from the glove box. And when I called my honda dealer they said I would have to take the cd player out and get the serial number to get the code, acting like they didnt know it was in the glove box. Just more $$ to dish out for them to take it out. The cd player is rather easy to install, and take out for that matter... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
