I'm not gonna bs you all, I did these in Photodelux, a cheapo version of Photoshop, so excuse the quality. I would like to know which paint job you lot think looks best to help me in a decision. (I added a front lip to one pic so don't let that be a factor, just look at the paint)

and the last one I got the side peices painted and kinda added a front lip and a small peice to the back. mostly just looking at the sides on the last one.

Looks like a bunch of rice crap to me...

Keep it red, do a fresh coat w/ some neat-o ghost flames :)

especially with the poor quality. I am also considering doing nothing! but there ARE alot of red civ's in my 'hood. I got my bro. to help me on some, like the 4th one. I was just lookin for something different, y'know, to stand out a bit. But if y'all think they all suck I might consider stickin to stock Milano Red:)

You could always try the big double stripe, a la Gran Turismo. ;)

i think they all look ugly... if i were you, i wouldn't paint any stripes. just my opinion...

I love Milano Red...2 of my Civics are milano red...I can post pictures of a ton of good looking Milano red civics..just ask:D

I do not like flames though, too expensive and/or hard to do. Plus IMO they don't look all that hot to me.

Guess I'll keep it red for now:) y'all convinced me.

Hhmmm, do you even know what a "ghost" flame is ?

At the My Classic Car show around here I saw a red Firebird (with a Vortech charger that ran 12s but that's beside the point) with the coolest ghost flames I have ever seen. They were done in gold, and you could not even see a hint of the flames unless you looked at it just right. I didn't even see 'em until the sun hit it at a certain angle and the gold caught my eye. Even then you couldn't see all the flames. Very cool *thumbsup*

So my suggestion is to either keep it plain red, do some ghost flames, or put a pearl over it.

A buddy of mine up at the university got his CRX painted recently... used a shade of red very similar to milano red, but he also used a clearcoat that had been mixed with some orange... If you look at most cars in sunlight, they reflect some of the blue from the sky and look an off-color. With the orange'd clearcoat, the ONLY color this car reflected was more red. It looked red and redder and red and damn it was bright... No matter where you looked at it from, no matter what lighting, everything nearby just shined red... I'm tellin' ya, it looked good :)

Alright whatever I don't like any of them so I say none of them. They all look ugly. This is my opinion so don't get angry at me. About the flames... hm... well for me when flames or stripes come to mind I think of domestic cars like ford or chevy. When imports come to mind I think of a wing and some stickers. I think this is the way it should be. Cause u don't domesticate a import and vise versa. This is just my opinion...

You'll be a laughing stock if you do any of those...just warning you. You've already got the spoiler going...that's a good start. If you want to do a different color on the car, throw a carbon fiber hood on it. You might want to think about removing the little tiny side stripes you're sporting now too. Just give 'em a little heat, peel them off (might have to use your fingernails, whatever you do DON'T use a razorblade) and give the car a good wash. Just doing that improves it. See, you have the same car as me...except I have a stick :D and I just don't want to see you do something foolish. Ever think about painting the interior panels???

ok, I already decided "no" on the carbon fiber hood, and why does everyone think taking off the side stripes is a good idea? I think they are great!! And YES I have thought about painting the interior, but I'm just too scared! honestly thats the no bs reason. I am less than artistically inclined and my hand is as steady as a satriani guitar riff. I would need help and that costs too much. I am turning some things over in my mind. I'll get back to you lot after I finish my last exam:)

for the love of god dont screw up your paint job with any of those designs in my opinion just have your black mouldings painted milano red to match ur car. that should look tight

ok ok, they suk, I get the picture. Thanks for the orange pearl pics, I was a little confused. This is just a daily driver, folks. For a 19 yrs old college student. I'm just looking to spice it up a bit; no real showy stuff! If my car looks like a million bucks it'll probably get keyed or even stolen. Heck I don't even have an alarm, or even keyless entry! I might go with a little something, but not much. I guess not even these. cuz they suck.

Any simple cheap ideas?

I have no response except that I wish this were the true feeling of everyone. As a matter of fact, I actually have considered entering my car into a car show. I do think it looks tight, and I can't understand why so many people on this board think its ugly. But thank God for differences, its what makes this planet interesting. :)

btw- I'm not doing any of the paint jobs. You lot were at least in agreement with me on the opinion that they are ugly. This post was made a long time ago. Now that I look at them, they do suck. I'm keeping it red. Thinking about a T1 lip, some small sideskirts, and a rear bumper after I move. All this after the Apexi WS exhaust of course ;)

yes, after I get a job :D I'm looking soooooo hard, but my scedule for working is a hard one to accomodate!
