Sway Bar Disconnected??????????? LilMax 04-06-2001, 04:01 PM
Any of you guys disconnect the Sway Bar for off-roading??????? If so, how much benefit is it and how hard is it to disconnect and reconnect??????? Any tips? Thnx! supersized2001 04-06-2001, 04:45 PM you can gain about 50 to 75 more on an RTI ramp so it does a lot when off-roading. Just unbolt it and puch it up. Most people do that and it stays there. You can also get quick diconects from Nuke for about 70 or 75$. Last option is to remove it all together but you will need to be carefull about how you drive if you do that. I also would not recomend that unless you have a spcer lift in the front to make the front suspension stiffer. Desert Dog 04-07-2001, 12:56 PM I have had mine off since I put my lift on! It is getting annoying though driving on the road anyway! The body roll sucks and I have Rancho coils! I was going to put it back on last weekend but when I tried I forgot that I now have skid plates that are in the way! So I have to modify my skid plates and then it will be on. It is better off road with it off if you are going to do a lot of off camber wheelin! :bandit: Reaper 04-10-2001, 04:43 PM Yea I got the quick disconnects from Nuke. They are $55 and worth every cent. When off-roading, having the sway bar off helps a lot. I currently don't have mine on right now, it is noticable on the street but in my case it isn't too bad becasue I have Rancho 5000's and CB spacers so my suspension is qinda stiff. Here is a pic of the ones Nuke sells... http://offroadaddiction.com/txttora/pictures/swaybar_links.jpg Later bud... :bonghitte schaferc 04-17-2001, 02:43 PM Yea you can get them from nuke they are only 55$ shipped to your door.. I have them and love em.. they are easy to use. Related Links Enter the largest automotive community on the planet! |
