srt-4 tires on 2003 dodge neon r/t??flashlica 10-15-2003, 11:15 PM I got ahold of some factory srt-4 tires and rims. i want to put them on my neon r/t. the inside corner of the rear tire rubs on the shock tower. any advice as to how i will use these will help. mabye spacers? if so how thick can i get them? diablo25mn 10-16-2003, 01:03 AM i thought the rims on a 2k3 r/t where 16x7 why would you go to 17x6?... i don't see why you would need spacers.. i have 17x7s on my 2k1 and i've seen people with 18x7.5 w/o spacers.. hell if you wanted to you could fit 20s on a 00+ (i've seen it.. wasn't that great of a look :uhoh: ) *note... now that i think about it.. the tires shouldn't rub unless you've lowered the car.. and if you have you might need to cut the strut stops. flashlica 10-16-2003, 07:15 AM I guess the tires are too big because everything is stock. 205/50 r 17 Michelen pilot sport. flashlica 10-16-2003, 11:38 AM 1/8" spacers did the trick. i looked at other neons and the r/t has wider springs in the back. I would have to go real low profile. I used these rims and tires because they only had 10 miles on them and i wanted to make them work. diablo25mn 10-16-2003, 05:01 PM hmm... still find that wierd.. i have 215/45/17s and i'm using first gen neon springs... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
