I need something to cool down the engine on idle speed (better radiator)bluebird 12-06-2001, 01:04 PM does someone know who makes aftermatrket cooling systems for f22? LoudLude 12-06-2001, 01:58 PM yeah, you may want to look into other methods of cooling , a radiator will not help tremendously at idle, since its main function is to cool the fluid by air passing through it. maybe a switched fan would help. drift 12-06-2001, 04:32 PM a better fan and radiator would be helpful, to pull the air while at idle. Fluidyne can help out in that department. also see if FAL makes a high flow fan for your application. also try Redline Water Wetter... it really does work, but flush and refill your cooling system first, and make sure you get a good mix of water and antifreeze, maybe 50/50 if you dont live in an extremely cold climate. The only reason I could think of is because it may not allow you heater to work as well, but I havent heard of anyone having any problems with them. Im not sure why else youd take them out.:rolleyes: ric 12-08-2001, 12:20 AM og course a larger dual core radiator would be nice, as well as a higher flowing fan. you might also want to rig an rpm activated/deactivated module to your existing fan. decide at what rpm you need better cooling set the module to turn on the fan at that given area and off at a given area. most turbo cars running high boost that i have seen have thier rad fans rigged to run all th time, its not usually necessary at high speed because there is enough air flow regardless of the intercooler blocking the radiator to maintain adequete cooling. its obviously lower speeds you would need something so maybe even a speed sensing switch if they make one. good luck vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
