i have a 88 lincoln town car and i was wondering if i ordered performance parts out of a mustang mag for the 5.0 which i have would they work fine because i thought that the engines were the same?

Some do and some don't. It's best to call the companies in question and see if they can swap with a Regular 5.0l.

From what I've read it's best just to start fresh with a 5.0 HO (High Output = 225 Hp Vs 5.0l =150 Hp).

You want to do research, years etc. Roller cams, reverse rotation & water pumps on 5.0 litres and what year is what. And yeah Crownvic.net is an EXCELLANT source as swaps HAVE been done AND documented. Also check crownvic.us
