Engine Problems

Ok im going to try to explain this although it is somewhat confusing

I am 17 years old (learning about Cars  ) and I have a '94 G20 and i bought it about 2 months ago from a dealership (it was a trade in) there were no problems with it at all, the people had a bunch of parts replaced before the traded it in. Latley ( about 3 weeks ago) it began giving me problems. A Squeeky/high pitched sound is coming from the back right of the engine ( I think its the belt on the alternator) but whats wierd is it causes the bottom right lights on my console to brighten and dim (The Battery Light and the Hand Brake Light).

When i Accelerate They Dim and when i Decelerate they Brighten, but then never seem to go away. everyonce and a while it stops (makes a sound like the belt clicks back into place) but it always comes back

At the moment i have no money to get it checked out by a mechanic, so i was wondering if anyone else had this problem and if they possibly know what it is.

ANY help is appriciated
Thanks

It sounds like an alternator problem to me. I guess it could be the belts are loose or glazed too.
