mr2 swappr35ton 10-07-2003, 08:30 PM can you put a twin turbo supra engine in a mr2????? some one said some crap about something being wrong with the transaxel???????? ghetto7o2azn 10-07-2003, 11:41 PM i dont think that the supra engine could even fit in an mr2, but i could be wrong HondaChili 10-08-2003, 04:07 PM I agree, supra engines are way to big for the mr2, you might have to bump out alot of stuff. And how r u gonna reroute the intercooler system to the side and have an extension pipe for the intake? Sounds like a lotta shit to do. However i believe with any car, if you have the money u can do whatever you like. Its all about the money. ftg03s 10-08-2003, 11:19 PM I agree, supra engines are way to big for the mr2, you might have to bump out alot of stuff. I agree, the supra motor is way to big for the MR2 engine bay, maybe if you removed the trunk/boot from the car you might have a better chance, but as HondaChili said "its all about the money" its true... money talks! drazhartd 10-09-2003, 12:55 AM Get yourself a 3rd gen 3sgte and mod it from there. Then again, even w/o the mods you're keeping with wrx's :D HondaChili 10-09-2003, 12:37 PM Get yourself a 3rd gen 3sgte and mod it from there. Then again, even w/o the mods you're keeping with wrx's :D Really can they? i dun know how fast the regualr WRX's run on 1/4 mile but i believe the best a 3sgte can run is 14.7 thats about prelude speed if you ask me. In my opinion the wrx stock vs mr2 stock , wrx should be able to take it mr2mitch 10-24-2003, 06:12 PM hey honda chilli he said put a 3rd gen 3sgte in it. The 3rd gen 3sgte has 245hp but people who have dynoed the engine say that it actually puts down close to 255hp rear engine rearwheel drive cars hook up like AWD. couple mods and you'll be eating STI's all day long.later mitch ghetto7o2azn 10-25-2003, 06:46 PM ive seen a stock wrx drag a jdm mr2 n the wrx is faster but just a little bit, and the mr2 is mid engine not rear.. sushixl011 10-25-2003, 11:36 PM hey can someone tell me if you can swap the 3SGTE in an 87 mr2? I don't think the sgte stands for anything, other than just being the engine code... I know that the 'T' lets one know it's a turbo, as opposed to a n/a 3sge. USDM 3sgte: 200hp JDM 2nd Gen 3sgte: 225hp JDM 3rd Gen 3sgte: 245hp ghetto7o2azn 10-29-2003, 06:37 PM i dont kno about the u.s. version but i kno that in japan the 1994 mr2 had a different turbo, the ct20b that puts out more power. There were also other mods obviosly but i cant list all of them JekylandHyde 10-30-2003, 12:16 PM ... funny SARD Racing in Japan fit a Lexus V8 in the MKII? :D ... of course they widened the rear of the car. origtype1 11-07-2003, 11:45 AM Any idea how feasable it is to put a F20C from a Honda S2000 into a 1986 Type 1 MR2? ftg03s 11-07-2003, 06:10 PM Any idea how feasable it is to put a F20C from a Honda S2000 into a 1986 Type 1 MR2? Why bother... 86MR2's r heaps of shit anyways why ruin a good S2000 for a shitty 86MR2??? origtype1 11-12-2003, 01:02 PM Why bother... 86MR2's r heaps of shit anyways why ruin a good S2000 for a shitty 86MR2??? Don't worry, I won't ruin a good S2000. I'll just wait until somebody like you with more attitude than talent rolls one and then salvage the engine. basslover911 05-11-2005, 10:13 PM u think u can put a v6 nsx engine in an mr2?? e-mail me at daplayafrm_mx@hotmail.com please cuz im planning to do it and need all the info i need...thanx mr2envy 05-12-2005, 04:43 PM dang if any of you are planning on doing those engine swaps other then a 3sgte swap then you would mostlikely have to cut out the gap seperating the trunk and the engine compartment. just like with the lexus v8 the actually made the car wider as well in order to fit it. thats going to cost butloads. a normal v6 might fit since people put the camrys v6 engines in there as well try to find post about that and ask them if it would work. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
