Help! I'm trying to restore my 86 1/2 GT by myself. I want to keep as many original parts as I can, but my console door is shrunk. Here are two images:

As you can see, the vinyl has shrunk from spending the first 15 years of it's life in Albuquerque NM and Phoenix AZ. It is to the point that the sides will not quite stretch all the way around the to the back and the corners have torn from tension.

Is there any way to keep this door and stretch the vinyl back to where it should be? I know there are some products that will loosen it up, but I don't know where to get them.

hmm not sure if that can be saved.. you tried over at http://www.fiero.nl/cgi-bin/fiero/Ultimate.cgi?action=intro ?? they have a mall section, ask in there I'm sure someone will sell you the console door next to nothing :smile:
