spark plugs?accord1998 10-02-2003, 05:52 PM How do you know what brand of spark plugs to buy? BullShifter 10-04-2003, 02:20 AM Get yourself some split fires :loser: You can buy any brand you want For real I suggest NGK's Spark plugs wont make a noticeable difference unless its a fully built engine or maybe the incorrect plugs. Also platinum tipped plugs aren't recommended unless the car came with them from the factory. 4 plugs from Honda cost me only like $5.00 shanky2001 10-06-2003, 09:37 PM yeah dude, i agree, get some split fires. I got some for a little more than the regular one pronged plugs and gapped them good and it made a world of difference in how my engine performs and sounds now! its amazing what a little thing like that can do for performance. BullShifter 10-07-2003, 12:00 AM HAHA, I was joking about the Split Fires. If you think they add power, more power to ya. akina_speedstars 10-07-2003, 09:51 AM jackasssi, Hey, what exactly is not good about putting platinum plugs in a car that are not OEM. I just never heard about this and thought platinums are better in general. I've replaced my plugs once with OEM NGKs. I had an oil leak which fouled them. So, after the oil leak repair, I decided to replaced them with Bosch Platinum 2s. They have a platinum tip and two prongs that are pre-gapped. My car seems to be running fine. This is a 96 Accord LX. akina_speedstars 10-07-2003, 09:58 AM How do you know what brand of spark plugs to buy? You can get any brand. OEM spark plugs are NGKs for Accords. At the auto parts store (or Wal-Mart if you are cheap like me), there is usually a reference book or something that will list all plugs, with their part number, that will work properly for your car. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
