clicking and rattling coming from rear end

Ok, I can't seem to figure out what is making the noise. Let me start off by saying that there is absolutely nothing in the trunk so I can rule that out. I jacked up the rear and twisted and shook both tires and every thing seems tight, no play. But when I lift the right rear tire up and down, I get a little clicking, but can't pin point what it is coming from.. I should also mention that I have skunk2 coilovers and rear strut bar. Are coilover systems prone to clicking and rattling? If so, what should I check for. If not, what else can be making the clicking/rattling.. I also notice a lot of clicking/squeaking/groaning when lower the car off the jack-like the care frame is twisting or something. Is that normal when jacking up one side at a time? Could bad control arm bushings or ball joints make clicking/groaning sounds if their going bad??? I just can't figure it out and it is driving me crazy.

It clicks when I back out of my drive way(click, click), or when I hit bumps just driving around(click, click), and sometimes when I stop abruptly(click, clunk). Oh yeah, I guess it clicks a lot going around corners too(click,click,click,click)--let me remind you that this is coming from rear not front(ie. cv joints)

Any thoughts on what may be causing these clicks/cluncks and rattles would be great.

Peace..

are you on stock shocks by chance? that could be the problem.

i have the same noise i think. its a bunch of like annoying squeeking. i thought it was from my trunk struts or something. how would stock shocks on my lowered car make the noise?

I am having the same problem. A squeeking noise comes from the trunk area anytime I go over a bump. Are the stock shocks known to do this? So is replacing the shocks the answer?

if its a squeeking noise outside your ride... could be the shocks or the brakes... If its inside... and this happened to me. It could be your rear speakers loose, that shit was squeekin in a high pitched metal on metal squeel. It normally only made it when I was running over bumps or uneven pavement.

I had the same problem with my 95 integra, it was a loose spare tire. aagh . I have a problem with the rear hatch sqeaking badly when the car is stopped and in gear. Out of gear it doesn't squeak. Best guess would be the truck latch, but that appears solid. Any hints or suggestions would be greatly apreciated. Tx, Rad
