ok, when i start my car i hear little thump below me, then when I'm in gear reverse, drive, 2 and 1 i hear a wierd vibrating, continuous thump sound but not in park or neutral, plus i only hear it when my a/c is on. so i never hear it when i'm in P or N even with the a/c on. just wierd, i dont know. any ideas?

i forgot to ask but...could this be the infamous HVLA thing? if so, what does this exactly sound like? any sound clips? or maybe someone would like to meet me, to see if its the same thing, i dont know, kinda pissing me off :mad:

btw, this noise i hear is their all the time, even after warm-up

That sounds really odd, and I'm sorry I can think of nothing.

Basically you have odd thumping noises/vibration anytime you have the A/C on, AND your car is in gear . . . ? Is the car also moving?

HVLA . . . what's that?

i only hear it at idle, but the sound is kinda faint even with the a/c off, just worse when its on.

I had a '99 G20t before, and when the G was in "Reverse" gear whether or not the car was warmed up or not, I ALWAYS had this large vibrating sound. not the HVLA thing.. my whole car used to shake like wild, especially the dash.. it's really weird, once out of Reverse, the shaking stops.. my A/C wasn't on either..
