anyone know how to turn off door beeping?nappyak 09-22-2003, 04:10 PM Hello! I have a 2003 odyssey, w/ the automatic sliding doors. I love it, but the extra-loud door beeping (when the doors are open and the car is taken out of park) is really getting to all of us. It never fails to happen when I'm dropping a car-load of people in front of the restaurant/movie/store before finding a parking spot. I've heard that it can be disengaged, anyone know how? And yes, I do care about safety, but in my opinion, this is overkill. Thanks! cgrosby 09-24-2003, 04:32 PM I don't know either, but I sure would love to figure it out. It's the most annoying thing that I have every seen on a car. lorunner 09-26-2003, 06:38 PM turn the door switch off and the buzz will go away. Rufnusd 11-19-2004, 01:54 AM Remove the rear left interior panel and disconnect the brown plug. You possibly could access it by removing the rear left speaker. My interior just happened to be removed to where I could disconnect mine. BullShifter 01-16-2005, 03:12 PM Take it to the dealer and have them do the updated. Number 1: Turning off the switch on the dash does not aleviate this problem. Number 2: What update are you referring to? Every newer Ody has this feature built in. BullShifter 01-18-2005, 02:04 AM Updated door switches and grounding washers. gunnmen01 01-18-2005, 05:34 PM from what he is describing, its not a problem he is having. Someone is opening the door when he has it in drive... the buzzer cannot be shut off or turned down... put it in park before you open the door.... the updated switches and grounding washers only fix the door buzzing problem if one of the doors dont work and the door lost it ground... gunnmen01 Rufnusd 02-26-2005, 01:07 AM from what he is describing, its not a problem he is having. Someone is opening the door when he has it in drive... the buzzer cannot be shut off or turned down... Bro I just explained how to disconnect it. Its a stupid little piezo in the left rear quarter panel. It has a Metra 7802 style harness plugged into it. Its brown and resembles the turd that it is. I was Dynamatting and running dual 4 gauge when I found it. Its history! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
