K&N Air Charger

Looking into buying a K&N FIPK for my 2003 Tundra w/4.7 V8. Only thing I find is an Air Charger K/N 63-1058. Some literature claims all air hoses connect as on the stock air intake, other info says they do not and the unit is not street legal.

Any experience? Appreciate the help!

First of all all the hoses do connect to the K&N intake, if u didnt connect them, u would get check engine. I've installed one on my Tacoma, and i had put the all hoses into K&N intake, and this product is not illegal, it is perfectly street legal, even comes with CARB sticker, for smog check

Did you get the kit? Is it worth getting the whole kit and not just installing a K&N replacement filter? I put a K&N replacement filter in my F-150 a couple of years back and didn't notice a darn thing. In fact, I put one in my BMW 740i Sport and noticed no difference either. So I'm wondering if getting the whole FIPK kit makes a difference. Forget about the dyno test, if I can't feel any difference it's not worth it for me.

Installing the whole FIPK kit in lieu of just the replacement K&N filter charger is a night and day difference. Get the FIPK

www.KNFilters.com lists the FIPK part number 57-9020 for the 2002-03 4.7L. Anyone know if this fits the 2004 Tundra? They do not list a 2004 fitment (yet)...

Don't know about the 2004 fit, but after I ordered the kit from a K&N distributor they had already changed it to the full FIPK (they got it certified with the emission people). The kit fit was absolutely perfect. K&N really do their homework.

Thanks for the input.
