Pros & Consmrflip69 09-21-2003, 02:42 PM I think it's established that S13GTR has kept the twin turbos on the RB26DETT on his S13.. Which brings me to ask, what are the Pros and Cons of having Twin Turbo setup or one big ass turbo. I know with the twins, it'd be pretty cramped to get anything serviced in there, but in terms of performance... dunno-- mynismo 09-21-2003, 08:20 PM two's definately better than one. ghostchild316 09-21-2003, 08:24 PM double the trouble.I would upgrade it to a larger single turbo. Soyo 09-21-2003, 09:30 PM definately one big turbo klohiq 09-21-2003, 10:47 PM Two gives a better powerband if they are sequential...One (I think) can produce more power and is much less complicated, but makes a much narrower powerband. Both are choices that you have to decide. If I was getting an RB26 I would keep the twin turbo layout if it could be done fairly cheap compared to switching to a single. Two seems to provide better street performance while a single could be more useful for dragging at the track. Autocross I'm not sure which would be better...probably depends on your setup and whether the track has lots of long straights or a lot of small straights. mrflip69 09-21-2003, 10:47 PM But why!!!? :P ... (Besides clearance issues on the twins) =============== Dang klohiq.. right when I ask why, you gotta answer hehe youngdrifter_x 09-22-2003, 12:42 AM twin turbo was made to reduce the turbo lag of one BIG turbo. I'd go with a twin setup on the sr20..if it was possible... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
