Shaky Braky accordAccordSleeper504 09-20-2003, 11:59 PM Sup yall, My aftermarket rims recently broke on the interstate (long story) and I have some temporary 14 inch factory rims. They are not my factory rims though. I have an EX which i believe are suppose to be 15 inch. Recently I have also tried to swap out my rotors to drilled and slotted but was unable to so put factory rotor back on. My problem is that when i brake, the whole car shakes bad and I am thinking that maybe it is the 1 inch smaller rims i am using. The rotors mayb hitting the rim. Could this really be the problem or is it from my rotors i tried to replace but was unable to? Does anyone else have a such problem? I checked my rims and do not see any impact from the brake calipers or rotors to the rims. Help me out guyz!!!! badassaccordriver 09-22-2003, 12:49 AM i had the same problem on my 95 accord, and i checked the rotors to find that both of them were badly warped. after i replaced them, the shaking at high speeds stopped. epic69 09-24-2003, 09:59 AM I wonder if i have warped rotors, I seem to get the shakes if i press the brakes hard at highway speeds. how would i know for sure by looking at the rotors if they are warped or not? What would need to be done? Replace? or get them turned? dutchaccord 09-24-2003, 11:55 AM get them turned u can't see it epic69 09-24-2003, 12:42 PM So you are saying dutch that I should just get them turned and that should fix it? Shouldnt be too expensive to do that correct? Would you get both front and rear pairs turned all 4 at same time? 92lx 09-24-2003, 03:12 PM very cheap to get them turned, and that'll likely solve the problem - Nathan epic69 09-24-2003, 04:45 PM Thanks for the advice. dutchaccord 09-24-2003, 05:02 PM very cheap to get them turned, and that'll likely solve the problem - Nathan get the front disks turned...... 90% problem solved vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
