idle / stalling problem

I have a year 2000 Primera and I'm experiencing some idling / stalling problems. Happened about 8 times now seems to stall while running up to a junction with right foot pressing the clutch and left foot pressing the front brake. Stalled on uphill and down hill slopes and with a variety of fuel loads in the tank but always as I'm coasting to a stop.

The idel at rest on a warm engine is also just about 500 rpm, maybe 600 max, this seems low to me.

Anyone got any ideas, what should I check first?

here is what not to replace ! i have a 2001 primera sport and that is doing the same and it is doing my head in ! i have replaced plugs, plug leads, dist cap and rotor arm, fuel filter ! all to no avail so dont waste your money on any of those. i am trying a new idle valve on monday i will let you know if that cures it. in the meantime if you cure yours will you get back to me ? cheers.

I had a 1993, and experienced the same symptoms. One of my fuel injectors was bad. Cost me an arm and a leg since I replaced all the usual suspects, and then had to pay a garage to find it. Just another thing to consider.
