I have a question for all of you, do you know if it would be possible to fit a 1990 ford mustang engine in a mercury tracer and what would have to be done for this to happen(ie cost parts, etc)? of for that fact any motor that will make this car a sleeper.

First off, wouldn't be feasable. I'd go with a small block v-6 from a firebird or even a for topaz. Yes, they made em in v-6's. secdonly, your going to have to Chop off the old engine mounts and weld on new ones that came from the engine your trying to drop into your car. then you also have to think about the drive train. Transmission, drive shaft, differential. Also you have to think about how much torque your pushing, if you run too much you run the risk of twisting your frame into a pretzel. and then you have a giant paper weight.
