Here is my ModenaJomnhta 12-03-2001, 04:13 AM Hi guys, here is the Modena that I was finished back in August, and the kit is superb. I put lights in it too. Jomnhta 12-03-2001, 04:17 AM forgot to attach :p Jomnhta 12-03-2001, 04:19 AM here is another shot, with the headlights on :D kris 12-03-2001, 04:20 AM :eek2: :eek2: Jay! 12-03-2001, 04:26 AM OMG, that great!!! The brakes are awesome!!! And the lights are gorgeous!!! Are they LEDs or filament lights? Where's the batteries? How long can they be on before they get too hot? Wow!!! :eek2: Jomnhta 12-03-2001, 04:37 AM Jay, batteries are 2 2025 button cells, I stack them under the hood, place the switch in the engine bay in a hidden area. I have to use a tweezer to turn it on. The wiring is darn troublesome, but it worth. The batteries are changeable, no need to worry. Jomnhta 12-03-2001, 04:38 AM ooh, btw, they are white LED's Jay! 12-03-2001, 04:48 AM They turned out gooood!!! :D They look so bright. LEDs make good projector lamps. :) primera man 12-03-2001, 06:01 AM Welcome along to AF. Very interesting model....i'd like to see some pics of the wiring and how you done it. G-Forces 12-03-2001, 08:40 AM Awesome looking! Macka 12-03-2001, 09:18 AM  Looks Great!!!! I love that pic of the rear, with the lights on!!!! Sweet! DVSNCYNIKL 12-03-2001, 09:36 AM Now that is hot, and I don't even like the Modena. You might have changed my opinion now.:D Guiddy 12-03-2001, 12:58 PM THat is astoundingly good! The lights even have the right blue hue to them! If I have to add a little constructive critisism, it is that the pen you use to do your panel lines is too thick! Nothing that a little polish and a cloth couldn't sort out though! Overall, superb kit, and well done on the lights! MBTN 12-03-2001, 03:46 PM OUTSTANDING. D16 V-TEC 12-03-2001, 04:08 PM WOW! Great work!!!! JE123 12-03-2001, 04:17 PM Awesome model man.:D :D Hobbes 12-03-2001, 04:24 PM Good model, man. How long did it take you to install the lights? Jomnhta 12-03-2001, 06:21 PM It takes me about 4 hrs to do the lighting, it works out great. Guys, I would like to post some pics on the wiring, but I don't have the model on my hand right now. I left it in Hong Kong, too bad. By the way, the LED can be even brighter if use 9V batteries externally. I am only using 3V to power the 4 LEDs. I am oringinally thinking of putting the battery aside uder a showcase or something. But then I notice I can't pull the car out for nice photos, so I put them internally. turbos86 12-03-2001, 11:10 PM Anyone know where I can mail order some LED lights? Right now I have 5 bulbs for 3 cars!!! I need about 10 more!!!:D genX 12-04-2001, 02:54 PM Are those the same size LEDs that are in nokia cellphones? if it is, i'm sure you can find tons of them in any cell phone place in Richmond ales 12-04-2001, 04:31 PM turboman, I'm sure you can find LEDs at any radio-parts store... turbos86 12-04-2001, 04:44 PM THAT's excatly the problem. I brought their last 5 bulbs! The manager there told me I was the 1st guy to buy LED from them in 2 years, and they are not getting any more! Radio shack only has those BIG single ones, the size finger nails!! genX, don't think they are the same type, cell phones one are much smaller. But would you mind telling me where in Richmond? ales 12-05-2001, 03:22 AM I could buy a few and send to you. They are *really* cheap... genX 12-05-2001, 04:50 AM turbo86- go to parker place/aberdeen and the cell phone places there have LEDs. or metrotown has them too. You know that modena is the first plastic model i've seen with working lights. good job man Jay! 12-05-2001, 04:56 AM I was fiddling around with LED lighting once, but I didn't understand resistors, so I burned out my bag of LEDs one by one... :( Menu dei Motori 08-14-2002, 04:37 AM great car great pics! really nice!
