Hi. Im a n00b here, so please dont flame me or anything :uhoh:. Please be nice.

anyway, I have a 1983 mitsubishi mirage (colt, orion 2 1300cc "electro-jet" engine).
It was sitting around unused for about 6 months as i didnt have my license etc. I have finally decided to get the car going again.

Sofar i have founf that the fuelpump was not working, so that was replaced (its a mechanical pump) a couple of days ago. Since then i have tried to start it (after hooking all the pipes up etc). It almost starts but there is grey smoke comming out of the carburetor. What does this mean, and how can i stop this? I dont want to keep trying to start it while it somes incase i kill it or something.

Thanks in advance.
