My brother did in his S-10 X-Treme which had RDS in it. Hi guys, I own a 2003 Cav w/ XM GM-supplied. I am switching to an Alpine head unit that is XM ready. The Alpine cost 500 and the install cost me 700! You have to buy a new XM tuner and a special part that allows you to keep your door chimes, etc. Otherwise, you have to keep the stock radio in the car (under a seat, etc)! Not sure about the RDS, but I am sure it will cost you extra somehow.
