Hey i went to the track for the first time and got a 16.7. I think i can do better but i got that like 3 times. Is 16.7 a good time for an HX with a cold air intake and a full cat-back? I thought i would do better then that, i figured low 16s, but maybe im wrong. Also reaction time wasnt that good, (but it was my first time so) that will improve as i go more often.

my friend has an EX with i/h/e and he ran lows 17s lol, is that really bad? im guessing a bad driver but what do other ppl got who have EX's with a similar setup?

hahaha........not to be mean but the 17sec is kinda funny.

i got a 95 d16z6 hatch and my VERY first run at the track was 15.7 i thought that was pretty good considering i was expecting 16's. so far i got a best of 15.54 with .589 r/t

yea its just a d16z6 with stock internals. i just got cheap(autozone) intake, hpracing full cat-back exhaust and a short shifter. it wasnt drop when i ran it at the track.

now i have a comp cam+ springs, drop about 1.5in, skunk2 ecu chip, and a test pipe. i want to go back and see what i'll run.

in my D15 sedan 2 1/4 cat back, short shifter, short ram, plugs and wires and I ran a 16.4 w/a slipping clutch...so I say not to bad for your first runs on a track. Keep going and you will get better I'm sure. Also you will see a diff if you also do other mods and go back...

hope this helps and congras on getting some runs in....wish you many more to come...

Not bad for your first time, just go more and you will do better, and experiment with launching techniques and such and see which works best for you. I am currently running 16.4's with my 98 Civic DX coupe with a pretty much stock D16Y7 motor.
