I recently purchased a new keyless remote for my '97 EX Coupe and was wondering how to program it. I remember a friend of mine a while ago telling me it had to do something with a small button on the radio located between the "radio" and "cd" buttons. Can anyone provide precise instructions on how to do this?

no problem, what some people dont realize is that is what automotiveforums is here to do, help people with problems and save money, not to flame everyone and pick fights with people. and there is to much of that going on. and those people know who they are.

Hi! I own a 97 Honda Civic EX coupe, and I just bought a new keyless remote off E-Bay. I'm having trouble programming it, though. I've tried the instructions regarding that button, but nothing happens. Although my car is a used car, I am quite positive that I have the master key, as one can open the trunk with it. Is there anything else that one should do to get into programming mode? I've made sure that my ignition was set to the 'on' position....

Daryl
