Horn sounds intermittently

Also very sensitive to touch. Blows when making turns.
ANy ideas, besides pulling fuse.

sounds like a loose wire or connection somewhere in the steering column?

Exactly the same problem... on a '93 3.8L

but at 35k miles it was the opposite....hard to trigger the buttons on the Y of the steering wheels.


At 90K miles it turned into an embarassment. Donno how many times I've been stuck in traffic with no place for the guy in front to go...and I brush my hand over either of those two buttons and BEEEEP.

I've gotten good at pretending to wave at some vehicle off in the distance.

I suspect the contacts are mechanically closer than they were when the car was younger. But I haven't taken things apart yet to find out.

After I replace tie rods, struts, and figure out what my rattle/clatter is upon acceleration then I'll bother with the "touchy" horn.
