Hey guys... don't bash me. :) I'm new to these forums and would like some advice.

First of all.. here is some pictures of my car..

No performance yet... just looks (rims/tires and lowered a bit)

http://skyswaysystems.net/titan/pictures_files/civic-side-BEST.jpg

It's a 1.6L (ugh) SOHC 4cy. 16val.

I have really been thinking alot about performance.. so here it is..

B18C5? 210HP stock. Would it be an easy swap? What would I need to reinforce and change etc... would it even fit? I know next to nothing about swapping.. so I ask for your advice kindly.

Specs:
98+ Integra Type-R (JDM, DC2R) B18C
98 Spec-R 1797cc
4 cyl, 16 valve
DOHC VTEC
10.0:1 c.r.
PGM-FI (MPFI)
210 bhp @ 8100
Redline: 8900 rpm 18.5Nm @ 7500

- Thanks guys

your car looks very nice man, first the B18C5 and the B18C Spec R are different engines the first one is USDM and it has 195hp and the other is JDM and it has 210hp like you said, the engine definitely will fit (you just a few mods on the mounts and you need to use an integra or civic si 99-00 rear mount) you also need to change your axles and shift linkages too (any integra 94+ or civic si 99-00 will fit) and my advice is that you also should upgrade your brakes using rear disc brakes (any integra 94-00 or Civic Si will fit on yours) because the drum brakes are not made for an engine with 200+ hp output.

first of all the b-series motor will fit into his car with very little modification, as the b16 was an available option on the Si trim level, some minor changes to wiring, and mounting, as well as the axels would need to be swapped.

rear disks are highly unnessacery as your front brakes do about 85% of braking for the vehicle.

if you have the money go with the b18c5(type r) but it would run upwards of 4500-5000bux for the engine swap.

they summed it up pretty well for you but i'll say a b16a or b16b is a good swap the one your looking at is the priceyist just something to think about any b series swap would be a big jump in power id say even though the front brakes do most of the braking rear disks look better and are lighter so dont rule out putting them in.
