Pontiac Montana Vans are great. My grandparents own one. The other day grandpa let me drive it. I drove a Ford Windstar once and it drove way better. The comfort level of the Montana is excelent as well. Hope the new owners of this Van love it as much as i did.

I have never seen one Pontiac Montana in my town. Not one person owns one. Everyone either has a Windstar, a Chrysler, or an old Doge Caravan since my town is so "ghetto." I'd love to see some of these vans around here. I think they are pretty nice.

they are nice vans, i don't think many people know that. Pontiac hardly has any adds for them either. They might be selling enough to not me having many adds on television.

My wife and I bought a new one on Sept. 10, 2001.

Fully loaded, even has OnStar. This van has converted me to a Pontiac lover, when I'd never even considered them before.

45,000 miles and still going strong - even though it spends it's life as a kid taxi and Soccer Mom mobile! Does everything, including pump up soccer and basket balls. Informally known as the wife's "Command Center" since it has OnStar.

Gets up and goes when you mash the throttle, too.

I have 140k+ miles on my '99. Only non-regular maintenance was replacement of alternator at about 100k. Also just yesterday replaced both headlamp capsules (@ $64 from www.newgmparts.com). The old ones had moisture condensation which seemed to cause "cataracts". Amazing how the headlight output deteriorated over time -- I didn't even notice how bad it had gotten until the new lamps were in place and there was light all over the place! Not much maintenance for all the service the Montana has given us -- I'd recommend owing one.

I bought my '99 Montana (Extended) in September of 2000. I loved it then and I love it now. I was looking for a van at the time and wanted something that was different than the others. I drove them all, though, and the Montana was my favorite! It drives more like a car and has some pep, too!

My van has rear air, keyless remote, fog lights, stereo controls in the steering wheel, power rear windows (a MUST with kids!), and other stuff I can't remember.

What I love about it (besides everything else) is when the headlights are on, all the buttons on the panel, including the stereo controls on the steering wheel, light up red. My friends love this, and also are envious because, even though the van is 4 years old, it still smells like a new car. I don't know why this is (I never use air fresheners, I'm allergic), I just know I like it.

When we first got it, my friend's husband said that I'd want a new car before a year was up. I'm happy to say that's absolutely not true.

So, there you go! I love my Montana!

My parents have had 3 Transports... the first one was a 91, then a 96, and now a 2000 Montana...

What can i say, these vans have had a part in my life, on countless road trips to see relatives or cross country to see new sights.

I like the styling of the Montana, plus ours is freakin loaded...and the seats in all 3 transports we've had have been cumfy.

When my wife informed me that her 1993 Nissan Altama was getting to cramped for her and our three kids and that she wanted a mini-van I wasnt very into it. I looked at many used mini-vans and while I really wanted a Honda Oddesy it was just out of our price range so I settled on a loaded fire engine red 1998 Montana with just over 50,000 miles on the clock. The dealer told me it was a 4 year lease turn in and it was super clean inside. I must say I have been VERY happy with it when I do drive it. Kids have all the room the need and last Christmas when we went out of state to the parents house we had plenty of room for all five of us and the presents. Engine seems very peppy around town and it gets about 24-25 miles per gallon on the interstate which I think is great! I work contruction and get pretty filthy at work so I use the old Altima as my work car so I dont trash out the interior of my 97 Olds Aurora. When the time comes when my wife wants a newer vehical for her and the kids Im kinda looking forward to making the 98 Montana my new work vehical.
