Don't buy Audi

I sold my beloved GTi 1.8T in January and decided to buy a luxury sedan.
I checked the BMW 330i, Volvo S40 T4 and the Audi A4

Here in Guatemala you don't see too many A4's, so I decided to buy it.

After only 6 months of owning the car, I've had these problems:

- 1 month: seatbelt at the was loose and making a lot of noise
- 2 months: front left engine of seat broken
- 3 months: front left speaker broken
- 4 months: front right engine of seat broken, too
- 6 months: front left window making a lot of noise - maybe also going to fail !

Audi is doing as much as they can to be at the same level of MB and BMW, but they are years of light behind.

All these parts are going to be replaced under warranty, but I really tell you this:

DON'T BUY AN AUDI -- THEY STILL HAVE A LOT OF SERIOUS QUALITY ISSUES TO SOLVE

THE CAR IS CRAP; don't be a fool like myself and invest well your hard earned money.

I hope I do not offend anyone, but Audi is really crap

Because MB is also a luxury car and I want to comment about my situation to other people who might be interested in cars of this segment...

I agree and anyways i love Audis and you did offend me! my S4 saved my life one year, i was driving behind this big Suburben and he starts slidding out of control and falling back and it was in a snowstorm, anyways i had one choice go threw that big snowbank, drive in the quottro and make it too the other side of the road, thats one thing my SAAB wouldent do and MB dident offer that feature and BMW is a snobs car! i love my Audi and dont ever make fun of them just because your`s has problems!

i agree with FX i have a friend with a S4 and one with a A4 they both love their cars. I think your car just doesnt like u and i cant blame it.

What car would wanna be drivin by you, i love Audis, my mother in Seattle think SAABS are the worst cars ever but... i like my little blue viggean :)

I had to replace the engine in my 97 a4, what a piece of crap. 70k miles, well maintained etc. You won't catch me dead in an audi. If you must buy a vw, same car, less money.

It's just another fragile eurocar that costs a small fortune to fix.

if you think that every car maker doesnt make a "quirky" car every once in a while, you are wrong. sorry you got your hands on one. i am a technician and i have seen my share of saabs that i am glad i dont own. but, on the other hand there are a lot of great saabs out there that have been very reliable. every european car has a weak link in the chain. unfortunately, vw/audi has a lot of them. saab has a few also. can i recall the di cassette? valeo? or the venerable walbro? ohhh gives me creeps just thinking about it.
for those that dont know;
valeo (a french company that makes many cosmetic and electric parts for saab. scary company)
di cassette- stupid design. enough said.
walbro-company that makes horribly unreliable fuel systems for many different cars. ummm... saab uses them too.
