Toyota needs to revive the supra...........Y2A 08-13-2003, 01:40 AM Since Mazda and Nissan has revived their premier sports cars(RX8,350Z), im thinking Toyota should follow and do the same since the supra back in the days was the horsepower king compared to the RX7 and 300ZX. But since the new RX8 and 350Z came without a turbo, if Toyota does decide to revive the supra, do u guys think the new supra should come with a factory turbo(which will prolly mean a bit more expensive) or stay all motor like the RX8 and 350Z(which means no more 320hp from the factory:frown: , but price will be around the same area as the 350Z and RX8)? So what do u guys think? m3mark 08-16-2003, 05:40 PM I dont think that its a question of "if" toyota will bring it back but when. Every Japanese automaker has a signature pure sports car out, from the s2000 to the STI. Im sure that there is a car in the works @ toyota. But the question now is will it be a supra mk5 or another totally different sports car. As far as the engine I think it will be a N/A V8 that has some scrap parts from its formula1 and cart cars. Oh well lets just wait and see... :grinno: DominionTuner 08-17-2003, 10:20 AM A while back I read that the Supra will be a 345HP V6 rear wheel drive. N/A no boost. Of course that's just one of the many rumors I heard. Two years ago I did see a pic in a car and driver magazine of a concept and it looked like a Lambo with Toyota badges. SuperSupra04 08-18-2003, 07:56 PM Yo im serious nissan is dominated the sport cars every place i go to i see they talking about the new nissan 350Z, Toyota need to put up a fight and revived the supra so toyota can sit still and laugh at nissan. HikaRu 08-25-2003, 12:21 PM STi and Evo aren't sports cars....they are rally cars 9neon5 06-15-2004, 11:47 PM Since Mazda and Nissan has revived their premier sports cars(RX8,350Z), im thinking Toyota should follow and do the same since the supra back in the days was the horsepower king compared to the RX7 and 300ZX. Tech-Ronin 06-16-2004, 12:21 AM I would love to see a new Supra, but it should stay with the straight six. Better balance more torque westside.camper 06-16-2004, 02:21 PM I don't mean to go off topic, but the STi and Evo aren't rally cars in a pure sense. They can dominate the track, especially the Evo. They are mostly homologation models, but they are pure sports cars as well. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
