At what rpm should I shift from 1st to 2nd gear?EvilEvo 11-28-2001, 06:10 AM When I shift at 5500 and let the clutch up quickly but not poping it, the car bucks. If I shift at 4000 it is ok. My 93 Dodge Shadow doesnt do this. If the redline is at 8000 shouldnt 1st gear be fine all the way to redline before I have to shift to 2nd? Thx. 328isRob 11-28-2001, 11:36 AM You can shift at what ever RPM's you want to... just practice driving. GARGANTUA///M3 12-18-2001, 04:16 PM Isn't 5500 the bottom/beginning of the powerband?????:silly: I you DIDN'T feel a "buck" shifting then, I'd be worried:smoker: EvilEvo 12-18-2001, 07:11 PM 5500 is the rpm limit during break in. It is no buck but multiple bucks. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
