rx7 vs. gssmoke 03-28-2001, 04:14 PM a rx7 and a 90 gs 2.0 16 valve dohc 5 speed stick which would win enzo@af 03-28-2001, 05:12 PM What generation RX-7. I'm assuming it's not a third gen you inquire about........because there's no way you could be serious. I take the RX-7...any generation. carmaster 03-30-2001, 11:18 PM RX7 definitly cause the piece of shit, pussy eclipse sucks dingleberry!:silly: GOD 04-03-2001, 08:28 PM Originally posted by carmaster@af RX7 definitly cause the piece of shit, pussy eclipse sucks dingleberry!:silly: LOL hahahahahahahhahahaha LMAO:p BoostSpeed 11-23-2001, 01:56 AM rx-7, any generation, would take the ecplise. fortyoz2eric 11-27-2001, 05:43 PM an eclipse wouldn't stand a chance boostin94 12-11-2001, 10:14 AM Is the Eclipse modded?? Is the RX7?? Are either of them turbos? A modded turbo Eclipse would crush a NT RX7, but things are changed when the RX gets some boost. If both cars are NT, I wouldn't even bother watching the race. 15 second cars don't do anything for me, much less slower... MaxRX7 12-12-2001, 11:26 AM LOL :finger: brads94accord 12-23-2001, 09:24 PM haha and eclipse GS vs. an rx-7 haaahahahahaha, the rx-7 would kill the eclipse even if the rx-7 wasn't turbo. eclipse gs's are a slow. Yes-Ser 12-23-2001, 10:48 PM Well, the first gen rx-7's are by no means fast in today's standards. Equal drivers, stock vs. stock, the eclipse should give a first gen a run for it's money. EfiniRX7 12-24-2001, 11:20 AM Yeah the 1st gen's weren't that fast, but you also have to consider they stopped making those in 1985. For a car of that age to still be competitive with cars of today is pretty damn good. There's even an entire SCCA class dedicated to them too: Spec 7. In a drag race I'm sure it might be kinda close, but in a real race on a road course the RX7 would utterly dominate. Once you start modding the cars the 1st gen...and even the 2nd gen RX7's would easily outpace the GS. N/A rotaries respond very very well to mods unlike piston engines which require a good amount of modding to get more power out of 'em. I definately have to admit though the GS would be way more comfy to drive :) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
